I love that pic, and love that scene
I don’t care that I’ve seen this before. It’s just funny.

Games@lemmy.world•For those of you who enjoy open-world games, how big of a world is too big?
3·5 days agoWhat determines what “too big” is?
Ease of travel and speed of travel. Even a small map can feel cumbersome, repetitive, and boring. If the missions are designed poorly, and the game mechanics ignore an entertaining user experience, walking down the same hallway a thousand times can feel like a chore.
“Too big” is a relative feeling that involves many factors.

News@lemmy.world•Donald Trump Urges New Yorkers To Vote For Andrew Cuomo For Mayor Over Zohran Mamdani And Curtis Sliwa: “You Really Have No Choice”
30·6 days agoThis headline is fantastic for Mamdani, plus serves as yet another example of Trump shooting himself in the foot. I want to put it on a billboard.
I only use it to cover my ass because I’m not sure I’m right

46·15 days agoLawyers can be remarkably polite and professional when they want to be. Sometimes, they also have a sense of humor that’s as dry as the Sahara. I love it.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why are so many people role playing as animals?
4·21 days agoI’m going to guess that it’s because most animals spend their days eating, sleeping, and fucking. Some of them don’t even “raise” their kids. They don’t have the same responsibilities that humans do. Animals are assumed to be innocent. It’s an idealized life.
That’s part of the problem. I don’t know, and I don’t wanna assume the worst when I don’t know their motivation.
I’m torn. Yeah, I personally think self-censoring is pretty silly and pointless, but on the other hand, I don’t want to mock people for expressing themselves in a way they’re comfortable with.

Not The Onion@lemmy.world•Oscar Wilde's British Library card reissued 130 years after being revoked over gay conviction
1·22 days agoI think he deserves some sympathy. So do the other kids. It’s complicated and everyone involved deserves some empathy. I appreciate both the joke and the phrasing of your edit.
OOP either doesn’t know or doesn’t care that labor can take hours, and is completely unpredictable. There’s also the issue of finding a delivery room with space to accommodate five observers, in addition to the other people who absolutely need to be in the room.
This isn’t necessarily a bad idea, but the practicalities are significant.

14·24 days agoPart of me would like to see this go to court. It could be amusing for the Israeli government to demand equality while refusing it to others. I’d like to get their pro-equality statements on the legal record.

Technology@lemmy.world•Tesla's Full Self-Driving software under investigation after railroad incidents
35·27 days agoWHY THE FUCK ARE PEOPLE STILL EXPECTING THIS GARBAGE TO WORK? Tesla’s “full self driving” crashes have been widely covered. Is it simple ignorance? Are they not aware of the news? Is it stubbornness? Laziness? Thinking that “it won’t happen to me”? Do they sincerely believe Musk’s lies?
I know that victim blaming isn’t the answer, and that’s not what I’m doing. I just want to know what’s going on in their heads.

I’m surprised that he didn’t insist on having his detailed image, a silhouette of his profile, or at least his signature on the label.
