I’m listening, but there’s a deafening sound of a little lady standing by a swab production line, occasionally giving in to her intrusive thoughts of randomly snatching a swab, licking it, feeling a tiny shiver up her spine, giggling briefly, and putting it back. Her heart fluttering each time she dreamt of her next lick.

Don’t worry, OP, no one will conflate you for an AI. You didn’t hyphenate “dystopian-ass”, which is a compound adjective (unless it’s meant to be “ass-time”, a compound noun).
I think it might be this:

Various different screenshots of the same tweet. It’s a common logic error called a false dichotomy. People do it all the time, and it makes it very difficult to converse with them at all, because they’re unable to comprehend that being for or against one thing does not make you against or for some other thing they see as its opposite.
First, you must explain how one would go about acquiring a single pyjama.

You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK about the Geo URI scheme, a standard way to link to a location so that users can open it in any map application or websiteEnglish
36·20 days agoIt has abysmal support. All the places you’d need it to work without anything special, like link recognition in messaging apps and email clients, it rarely does. Even apps that could make good use of specific locations for inputs often don’t register a handler for the scheme. It’s been that way for years, and I don’t expect it to get a whole lot better.

Not The Onion@lemmy.world•The FBI Doubles Down on Easing ‘Bestiality’ Hiring StandardsEnglish
5·23 days agoAs weird as it sounds, I assumed there was some logic to this, and there was at least one case where someone had been the victim of sexual abuse and was forced to engage in bestiality. Then someone with half a brain realised that such a victim had no repulsive proclivities, so shouldn’t be excluded as a candidate on that basis.
The mere mention of the topic encourages irrational discourse.

He’s looking at you like that because he has a PhD, and he just heard you say that unnecessary apostrophe.

Fucked if I can work out why downloading the Windows .iso in Linux and writing it to USB has not once resulted in a bootable medium for me, despite literally every non-MS .iso working perfectly with the same tools.

Huh? When the Moon’s overhead, you can look at it and rotate yourself to any direction to change the apparent orientation.

5·1 month agoUsing a widely-available phone with good performance, decent quality, and long term security support, meant that more people could access it. I still can’t buy a Fairphone without going through an overseas middleman, then hoping I have no warranty issues, because they don’t sell to Australia. If something goes wrong with my Pixel, the shop I bought it from is minutes away.
