Stoicism helped me have more empathy for myself, which in turn helped me become more empathetic for others. This was after I read the book.

Growing up, I thought Dr. Cox from Scrubs was the emotional role model, as he was described as a “stoic.” Couldn’t have been more wrong. Meditations turned that on it’s head for me and gave me the tools to try and become radically empathetic.

I did get it, I was just trying to make a very dry joke about easy it is to doubt every headline these days!

Thanks for this. I agree with you about the vast scale of “piece of shit” as an adjective for “he was a bully in high school” to “Epstein,” which is why I wanted to check I hadn’t missed anything.

Can you point me in the direction of any reading I can do on this? I was under the impression he was OK. But I’m willing to change my view if there is a legitimate cause.
