  • Digital just adds more layers of abstraction before it reaches you and your message goes out to wherever. And there’s more signal stuff around it.

I can see my notepad. I can move it around, I could put paint on my fingers and touch it to draw something.

On a computer, I hit keys and they send a signal through the machine with a bunch of stuff going on before it appears on the screen. The computer might have some issues and then, even if I hit the keys nothing happens or something unexpected. And when I break the screen it’s not on the screen anymore, but somehow still there and went god knows where on the way.

The notepad is a lot simpler.

  • He’s a Russian asset and race horse for international tyrants, oligarch and so on.

You’ve heard of climate science being hijacked by Big Oil, etc.

If you have serious money and can’t find your soul, you invest it in judges, politicians, shadow networks, academics, journalists, influencers, papers, even artists to push all those institutions and their effect in your favor. Divide & Conquer, psychotic narratives. etc. to keep people from anything but joining together and doing what’s actually in their interest. Hijack existing conflicts, keep people afraid or blind by pleasure, with algorithms that your bought politicians and judges just let slip.

Things like that. Republicans are just the worse breed. And it’s all reaching a tipping point. I’ve heard an expert say that if 3.5% of the population non-violently protest this shit basically shuts down. Others say it’s gonna get a whole lot worse before it gets better. I guess it’s in the stars.

Here are the main reasons (I think) people do their dirty work.

    Useful Idiots
    Ideology
    Money

Thanks for the correction :) glad there are space nerds.

I’m guessing it’s an image of some other galaxy then right? So the arrow is pointing to some alien planet and is actually an alien meme leaking to planet earth?

E: I’m genuinely grateful, not trying to be cynical; just being a bit silly with the further analysis :)

  • Ok folx,

I don’t know how much clearer I can make it, when I literally write only a single paragraph underneath dedicated to other bad shit going on. Is there not enough space to focus on multiple things? What about Gaza, what about Ukraine, Sudan, Venezuela, femicide, Cum-ex, Myanmar, Iran, North Korea, climate catastrophe, and so fucking on?

Epstein Files are not just about Trump being child rapist and complicit sex trafficker. It implicates Bill Gates, Israel, Israel’s former PM, Noam Chomsky, the FBI, Woody Allen, and so much more. And it isn’t just about these people either. It illucidates the stranglehold ‘elites’ have over the rest of the world. It breaks the illusion of order and justice imposed in the west and trickles down into all kinds of policies and violence we see today.

The defeatism of “we know that anyway”, “nothing changes” is lacking imagination and a disrespect to all the blood that has been shed to get this far. This is a political community and this is politics. Shining light on injustice, especially of massive proportions and implications should always have a space.

If you’re focusing on the murder of Renee Nicole Good, GREAT! Keep it up!

  • It has changed a lot. It’s no longer just magazines, or getting a physical copy of a DVD. It’s plastered over the internet a few clicks away, with even more brainwashy algorithms to keep people coming back.

This is a big difference from the perspective of addiction psychology.

Why the rise? Maybe because an entire generation grew up with this kind of porn, maybe because there are therapists for this now and it’s not as stigmatized.

Maybe with the male loneliness epidemic it’s even more amplified, esp. for misogynists or cluster c men.

Maybe because porn has also been more normalized with PornHub merch, adverts and giftcards.

Really, I feel like if there’s a genuine interest to know, one can just start searching the web for porn addiction papers, etc.

Or to argue the point of propaganda, look at the BACP, and other parties mentioned in the article and consider how much sense it makes after.

FWIW the only thing that raises my eyebrows in the article is that they want the government to look at the problem. Expected to a degree from an org like BACP, but they aren’t going to invest in community resources. to help with understanding and support first and foremost, and then hold platforms accountable like they should game platforms with lootboxes and such etc… So I’d give them more credit if they offered the direct ways to help the problem. As the government, without direction only seems to know punish, block, ban.

Food for thought, I’m off to sleep and over and out.
