I watched this movie for the first time a few years ago and I was bracing for the worst but it was surprisingly wholesome, and not homophobic or transphobic. Like, for one, the Wayans brothers are not forced to do this disguise schtick like I thought. They CHOSE to do this. Further, at every opportunity for someone to see through their terrible disguises or treat them like a “man in a dress”, no one bats an eye. They are fully accepted as women, and later on in the movie when it is exposed that they are not the characters they are impersonating, the friends of those characters actually prefer the Wayans brothers over the real girls. Everyone except Terry Crews of course, but he only has a problem with them not being white, not not being women.
