The “feature” they are looking for is that it deletes itself, despite that also being illegal. They don’t want records of anything to last because when you are doing illegal stuff, records come back to bite you eventually.
They are using exactly the right app for the features they want.
The real app they are supposed to be using archives it like everything is legally supposed to be handled. For the express purpose of accountability and eventual transparency.
A witch hunt is when you don’t know for sure if anyone did anything wrong. Not when you have physical evidence of exactly who did exactly what wrong. That’s just a “case” then.
To be fair, Grease is a parody, and that was part of what they were parodying at the time. So they went a little extra with it too.
It’s a parody of the super common “beach fling” style of movies from the 60’s. They even reference some common actors and actresses from those movies.
It’s why each scene seems so poorly tied together, and the characters aren’t very consistent.
At this point, yeah, a bit. But it is a common racism to have right now, and the first step on the path to getting rid of it is knowing you have it.
Plus, the headline is really leading in that direction too, the article itself makes it pretty clear that it is a real, reputable product. Their wording in the headline is technically correct, they specifically call it a company “you’ve likely never encountered” rather than “noone has heard of”, the company has already been at the forefront before and announced that they would be again in 2025, this is fulfilling that promise.
