I realize that Dave Lombardo is said to be among the best drummers in the genre, but his speed polka beats piss me off more than they should.

It’s widely agreed upon that the original fresco was not particularly valuable or artistically remarkable. It’s not like somebody messed up the Mona Lisa or a Rembrandt. If I ever happen to be in the area, I’m definitely going to see the thing in person. It’s become quite a tourist magnet, and the town is happy about it.

Yeah, and I’d say that VW wasn’t the worst industrial company to live on after the war. Let’s consider Bayer, for example. They did pharmaceutical experiments at Auschwitz and Dachau, were part of IG Farben (the conglomerate that supplied Zyklon B to the SS) and continued to make money with shady business after the war. Like, “manufacturer of Agent Orange” levels of shadiness.
