The NRA doesn’t want people exercising their rights, never have. They just want to make money off of those who will do so at whatever cost.

The NRA has never cared about supporting gun rights. All they care about is inserting themselves as the middle-man you’re required to pay before you’re allowed to exercise your second ammendment rights. They lobby exclusively for legislation that requires you to obtain training from one of their “licensed” instructors before being able to obtain a concealed carry permit. That’s all. Anyone who supports them is a clueless chud.
Yeah, and sometimes a hypocrite is just a lying sack of shit.
That line is heartbreaking when you learn that Joaquin Phoenix’s IRL brother died of a heroin overdose in the streets of New York while people stepped over his dying and dead body.

5·9 hours agoCompletely agree. There are no US politicians who are willing to offer social progress or even support middle-class workers. If you’re not a campaign donor, you can’t get shit in this country.
Not that it matters who votes for who. After the 2024 election, it’s obvious the winner isn’t decided by votes anyway.

2·10 hours agoThey can, but they won’t. Everyone knows the Dems’ donors won’t allow them to put up any real resistance against fascism. Best they’ll do is a public condemnation, maybe a pinky swear to hold the next one accountable, if we’re lucky.

1·18 hours agoCitizens don’t get meaningful reform against face shooting or accountability for face shooters under D either.
The best we ever get is another public condemnation against face shooting and an empty threat to hold the next face shooter accountable, pinky swear this time.

35·2 days agoThey could. But they won’t. That would be more than just token resistance. Everybody knows the Dems are paid by corporations to only resist with words, motions, committees, and meaningless votes.
If we want accountability, we’re going to have to demand it, like after George Floyd.
Only once it becomes cheaper to appease us than resist us, will we be appeased.

1·3 days agoThe gun laws enforcement agencies talk about not enforcing are the “assault weapon” bans. The reason they don’t want to do that is because these laws set a dangerous precedent where millions of US citizens become criminals overnight, at the stroke of a pen, for owning something that is extremely common and was completely legal the day before.
They don’t want to go door-to-door demanding they confiscate people’s guns because, number one, thats what fascists do, and number two, that’s how shootouts happen. Can’t say I blame them.

10·4 days agoIf you would shoot someone over a parking spot, you shouldn’t be able to own a gun.
For the non-US people out there, you should know the shooter will lose his second ammendment rights following this incident. A conviction for any violent crime, even domestic violence, makes it illegal for you to own or possess firearms, and will cause you to fail the background check required for any and all gun purchases (yes, even at gun shows). There’s a grace period where you’re allowed to surrender to the police any guns you can’t legally sell, but after that, it’s illegal to own or possess any firearms for life.
For some reason, I feel like a lot of people, even US citizens, don’t realize this.
Of course. The Dems’ donors won’t allow any real opposition to fascism.
