I think you hit the nail on the head. Even without drones, they are awful I’m so much of modern warfare. If you’ve watched any footage out of Gaza you’ll see a dude pop up out of tunnel and just completely disable a tank without them ever seeing him. Tanks are quickly going the way of the cannon. Yeah that’s probably for the best. I say this with no judgement as a former WoW addict. It’s the time to do shit in the real world and get organized to resist these Fascist. Hit up PSL (Party for Socialism and Liberation) or DSA (Democratic Socialist of America) in your area. If anything it will give you a social life on Friday/Saturday (usually when they have meetups for PSL in my experience). PSL in my area even organized child care during meetups/protests.

Also, your local SRA (Socialist Rifle Association) if you have one. Basically the only place to train with a weapon that isn’t filled with MAGA hats. But they have literally been overwhelmed since November so might have to deal with hogs in another course if you’re interested in that. Again, depends on your location.

That’s my experience trying to explore real life anyway. Your path might be different. Plenty of mutual aids to join. Lots of local organizations of any kind our leading the charge to resist ICE. Depending on your location that might be a Mosque, Synagogue, Church, Temple, etc. (Thats one of the main reasons they now legally allow ICE to raid them. Which is FUBAR.) Find out what works for you in your area.

Won’t happen. While I think all this institutional resistance is good. All of the lawsuits and judge rulings should only be seen as a way meant to delay. Fascism is here. You don’t unravel it using the existing institutions and systems.

Delay and prepare. Learn who all your neighbors are. Make sure you can contact all of them quickly and that they can contact you. Your neighbors and your coworkers are who you should be organizing with. Talk to them. Find out who might be a target by ICE. Find out which one of them you can’t trust. And of course. Arm yourself.

I think it’s a good example of how vastly over hyped a lot of AI stuff is though. Any person could tell that that was a wall from hundreds of feet away. You can even tell in the video and it would be more obvious in real life with actual depth perception.

The entire problem with AI are corner cases. This is just taking that corner case to an absurd level. But it’s not much different than the real world case of a Tesla vehicle getting confused on a highway if a billboard ad has a stop sign on it.

It surprises me that people that get stock rewards in their company don’t instantly sell them. Yes, you pay more in taxes because of capital gains, but you can avoid that by waiting a year to sell if you really want to.

I work for a tech company that offers ESPPs and gives stocks as bonuses. I sell those instantly and just take the guaranteed profit and turn them into index funds. There is just no way in hell I’m linking my employment AND my stock portfolio to a single company.

COULD I potentially make more by waiting? Sure, but that is not a risk I ever want to take. I’m not gonna be holding my companies stock and have it tank in value AND lose my job at the same time.

Invest in stocks or index funds that are unrelated to your field of work. That’s my advice anyway. You should never have all your money sitting in a single companies stock anyway.
