Yeah, we’re not going to nationalize the entire economy because that’s really stupid. Our tax dollars reach every nook and carny of the economy, but that’s fine. Tax dollars are meant to be used in a way that makes the country operate safely, smoothly, and reliably. A lot of this is done by putting the money back into the economy in the form of subsidies, welfare, wages, and government contracts. It’s fine for the government to pay a business to provide as long as the business is offering fair market prices and they’re delivering an acceptable product or service. The tax money that goes into such a business doesn’t just go to the shareholders, it also goes to everybody else as well.

That being said, shareholders can be scumbags, I’m with you there. If they are clearly conducting unethical behavior or illegal behavior then they should be immediately cut off. This includes things like delivering unacceptable products and services by cutting too many corners or committing fraud to take more tax money than they should or trying to scheme to monopolize and so on. These types of shareholders should’ve receive bailouts or awarded government contracts, they should be thrown in jail. But we shouldn’t nationalize the economy because some shareholders are crooks.

No, they’re fine remaining as private companies. If the government wants to better control over the companies then they can pass regulation and if they want total control then they can build their own alternatives. Nationalization of companies should never be used as a political weapon.

I think that’s a contributing factor, but I don’t think it’s the only one. We live in the age of social media where anybody anywhere can post anything at any time. Anybody can be a journalist and post pictures, videos, or give live updates as events are happening. In fact we have a lot of people like this from just about every conflict in the world who give us updates just about everyday. Despite this, things like wars are still treated as trends by people. When the fad gets old, people get bored and move on to the next new thing.

These aren’t next, these are already forgotten even though they’re catastrophes. Hell, even Ukraine is being forgotten even though it’s one the biggest wars in 21st century. When India and Pakistan looked like they were about to go to war, this Israel/Palestine war was also pushed to the back of people’s minds.

I think this is the just the nature of humans. People want to think they’re noble and righteous, but they won’t actually do anything, and the moment a new war starts they’ll move on to that because it’s new and we have short attention spands.

I support the suspensions. If all the other members abide by the same rules except for these ones then it makes sense reprimand them for disrupting the duties of parliament. These lawmakers were elected to be the voice of the people they represent. If they’re not using their voice to explain why they oppose the bill or what their proposed alternatives are then they’re not doing their job. Screaming and tearing up papers is just annoying and wasting everyone’s time.

Netanyahu was always unpopular both in Israel and outside Israel.

Opinions across the world started shifting after he renewed efforts to occupy most of Gaza. Hamas is a terrorist organization and everybody acknowledges that, but they’re defeated at this point. Israel has decisively won this war months ago. They get to have virtually any of their demands met with any ceasefire deal they agree to from getting back the rest of the hostages to having access to the Philadelphi corridor to expelling Hamas from Gaza.

There was a deal a couple of months ago that they agreed to and everybody thought this war was finally coming to an end. Fighting stopped, hostages were being released, and everybody acknowledged that Israel won. People were excited that war was finally coming to an end and people were debating what a post Hamas Gaza should look like and how reconstruction should be handled. However, Netanyahu single-handedly scrapped this deal and restarted the war for no reason.

Now, people are just tired of him and the war. Not just around the world, but also in Israel. A whooping 70% of Israelis have an unfavorable view of him and his government. Israel won’t be taken seriously again until he’s removed from power, and everybody wants him out. However, he knows that he’s going to get his ass thrown in jail the moment this war is over and so he’s never going to end it.

And your assumption is wrong. If you read the article, you’ll see that his parents were alive and well at the time, and so were his 8 other siblings. Apparently this kid developed a habit of doing dangerous stunts like this, and father used to severely beat him many times as a way to deter him from doing more stunts in the future. Shockingly, physical abuse didn’t work, and he ended up being killed by doing another dangerous stunt in the future.
