6·1 year agoHow would it have been better if they were kids? It’d be worse: displaying the kind of bullshit being handed down to the next generation.
They’re inept, stupid, racist adults. Pray they don’t teach kids to be like themselves (though I’m sure they will).

1·1 year agoLook at all the GDP cars cripple! Government welfare for oil companies (paid for by our taxes), growing land hindered by asphalt roads everywhere, pollution…

Minutes, wise guy. Who measures water in meters? Liters, maybe
Every decent actor & fan of theater pays tribute (or should) to Monty Python (Flying Circus in this case: In Defense Against Fresh Fruits.: https://youtu.be/NqDPsonOLCQ)
TBH the best corn on the cob I’ve had the pleasure to encounter was fire grilled {in husk, resheathed after silk removed}, but the standard I’ve known for home grown sweetcorn is ~90s in low boiling water. Any longer makes it dull and unnecessarily mushy.
Corn needs 1m in boiling water. Not 20.

politics @lemmy.world•Kamala Harris Thinks Trump Is a “Communist.” That’s Insane.
7·1 year agoThe thing she’s doing is comparing him to dictators, Communist is kind of a passing flag. The huge stupidity of the statement is expectations that the "titans of industry"would speak up. They always do, through her, the DNC, as well as the entirety of the GOP. Titans of industry always play both sides & let us wallow in the division & chaos.
If she hadn’t sold out, she could have checked the votes & found she had won (were it not for Elon’s "handling"of swing states’votes).
The Orange turd may actually help make things better again.: It was last time that oligarchs/robber barons had too much power that FDR changed the game & gave power back to the people.
Word. We’d be in such a better place if they’d actually counted the votes.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Not promoting suicide. But my question is can someone with onset dementia and hire a person to put them down like a rabid dog? Or do I have to still be with it to jump off a building or bridge?
7·1 year agoTake aim at neurologically beneficial nutrition (is what I’d do): fish oil, blueberries, lions mane extracts (there’s a host of nutrients besides these 3 that can help slow your dive (reverse it?) into dementia. Do the research, eat happy things. And exercise, sleep well & connect with good people. These are important for fostering good space for your neurons too. Love. As much as possible.).

The lawmakers that haven’t done anything to stop ICE, curtail tarrifs, tax the oligarchs, flight for healthcare? Those lawmakers?
Huh. Another Monday, then.
