Summary

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, a leading advocate for “Liberation Day” tariffs scheduled for April 2, faces growing criticism within Trump’s administration.

Sources indicate Lutnick will likely be blamed if the tariffs backfire economically, with insiders describing him as giving Trump “bad advice” and pushing “crazy” aggressive tariff policies, unlike Treasury Secretary Bessent’s more measured approach.

While White House spokesperson Desai maintains the administration is unified, corporate America fears significant economic damage.

Trump reportedly enjoys the uncertainty, expecting nations to “grovel” for deals to avoid punitive tariffs.

We all know its you, Trump. I’m not burning any fall guys willing or not. I want you to feel the repercussions of your actions. I want you to feel the weight of the world. I want you to beg for relief, and the only form you are met with is a hole to die in.

Trump needs sycophants and patsies or he can’t do a fucking thing. If Lutnik is burned for basically doing what he was asked then it sends the message to his inner circle that following orders is not a guaranteed way to keep your head off the chopping block. This kind of volatile leadership style is how coups occur. Almost none of them probably care about Trump’s goals. They just want to ride the tidal wave so they’re not crushed by it.

Watching interviews, he’s parroting everything dear leader says. Just as nuts as the boss, can’t see the difference.
