Most European rivers are drying up. Romania had to shut down their nuclear plant because the level of the Danube was too low to cool it properly. Surely this is not climate change, right guys?

I am European and if you think people aren’t denying climate change over here you must be living under a rock.

        Who’s still denying climate change?

        The Czech government apparently:

Immediately after his appointment, the leader of the Motorists’ Party, Foreign Minister Petr Macinka, simply declared the “climate catastrophe” to be “over”. As a result, he promptly disbanded several working groups dealing with climate policy. The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute was forced to make some staff redundant due to budget cuts. And this despite the fact that this agency enjoys a very high level of public esteem – particularly since, two years ago, it accurately predicted the floods in eastern Czech Republic and thus helped to minimise the subsequent damage in advance.

Turek, who was an influential social media personality before entering politics two years ago, was originally set to become Minister for the Environment. However, the Czech President, Petr Pavel, rejected the appointment, citing Turek’s racist and homophobic comments on social media. He was eventually appointed the Czech government’s official representative for the European Green Deal. He is thus responsible for a policy area whose merits he has questioned from the outset.

An incident in the Czech Parliament during the heatwave in June is indicative of this attitude. When two Green Party MPs called for a debate on the consequences of the excessively high temperatures, the chairman of the Motorists’ Party, Foreign Minister Macinka, who was present, responded sarcastically: “Well, it’s hot in summer, cold in winter and dark at night,” was his comment on the request made by the Green politicians, whom he also described as “overheated”. Fortunately, Macinka noted, there was air conditioning in Parliament, so the two politicians would be able to cool down.

Oh no! I just read a threat on LinkedIn where someone read a news article that France was arresting hundreds of arsonists, so that was proof that climate change did not start the fire. Also, a graph that wood burns at 400°c , not 40°c. More proof that climate change is just a lie to help the left egenda.

Unfortunately LinkedIn is not a platform where one can find a post again, so I cannot link it.

I’ve never seen these parts of the river/harbor beds in my life. I live my entire life next to the rhine.

It’s gonna be an Autobahn in a couple years !
