But I thought everyone had moved to Vera Crypt. Is that no longer the case? Just curious, Since I haven’t read much about that world for many years.

Veracrypt is the modern fork of Truecrypt. You can upgrade your old data using a legacy version of Veracrypt: https://veracrypt.io/en/Converting TrueCrypt volumes and partitions.html
