I’m enjoying Qobuz
On Linux, it works great for me over my browser, but i recently tried QBZ, and it both works and looks great! And its got lyrics, and other cool audio features like DAC, EXC, and Qobuz Connect that I don’t really understand.
not available in Poland sigh
I switched to DeepL
I too switched to DeepL. Also doing the trial period of kagi.com search. Probably gonna buy the “family” plan for me and my dad.
Does abandoning steaming/live services and starting with self-hosting count?
same here, switched to DeepL; then switched to Mistral AI.
Bought a Fairphone 6 (e/OS) and finally deleted my Google and Microsoft accounts.
Got myself a Tuxedo Aura 14 which I’m enjoying.
Also, kinda, just bought four vinyls of Wardruna (Norwegian band) from a Swedish store.
Wardruna are awesome!

It does. As in; each other week for example. With start/end date or number of occurrences. Or do you mean something different?

Does second hand count? If so, I bought a Bosch laundry machine
Sold stock from ETF which covered US companies.
I’ll put that into european funds.
Got my old PC from 2011 working again, had loads of RAM at the time and runs pretty well now. Put it in the loft and installed proxmox on it. Am now using remote-backups.com from Germany as a remote backup :) for a load of services.
I recently bought a Fairphone 3 and installed Ubuntu Touch onto it, ditching Android entirely! I spent about 3 days working on this and would strongly recommend buying one of the newer ones with Ubuntu Touch pre-installed, I’m incredibly happy with it, feel freer than ever, and Google’s however-much-money poorer for not having my data!
Motorcycle tools for on the road. Both dutch and german. Love them
Which brands please?
Good question :)
German: wera. They are super nice in the workshop and everywhere . Colour coded , super comfortable, smart stuff really. For the bike I got a small “motorcycle” toolkit. With sockets and bits, tiny spanner, etc.
Dutch: eastbound. specific tools for fixing tyres . Lightweight wrench for the backwheel nut (34) and to get the tire off the rim. Very clever designed.
Ah, nice. I have a Wera ratchet screwdriver and it’s nice kit
Sneaky Steve boots from Sweden made in Portugal.
Subscribed to inlinestyle.it and have been able to actually use on a daily basis a good 40/50% of the services included in the subscription. Primarily email, personal website, photos, docs and notes. But I also enjoy some PeerTube channels there from time to time.
I just checked their services and while it seems great, the volumes are a bit small, aren’t they? I host Immich myself and my collection uses about 90GB. Are the 10 given there enough for you?
I have started by importing my photos from 2020 onward and those consumed 3Gb, but I tend to curate my library so I don’t have duplicates etc. And I don’t record videos, but only photos. My whole collection of photos on Google Photos was 11GB before I stopped using it.
I think you can get more space with invite codes etc when you invite friends, but I never tried using them
Switched to Aliasvault from Nordpass if that is considered a win
