The various spellings of vidya always get a nose exhale laugh.

The best part is this is the relaxation zen.

Yes, though it depends on the material. I don’t watch shows I have never seen, I tend to rewatch stuff a lot. Also I tend to drop the podcast if the game im playing calls for it, currently I’m playing Alan wake 2 so I like to be more focused while playing a game like that.

You have the sound on for all three normally or is it like, audio from podcast, video from show on second monitor, then main focus is game? I can’t imagine the cacophony otherwise.

I have audio on all 3 to varying degrees depending on what I am focusing on most at that time. Some games you have to make the primary audio, but more casual games you don’t. but recently I’ve been watching old 80s and 90s wrestling so you don’t need that on full blast. I retain everything on the pods i listen to and it’s the only way I can put in gaming hours

I tried watching modern wrestling and realized how much I hate it compared to the older stuff, so I decided to do a rewatch of wwf and wcw from as early as possible till around 2000 when it all died. Lots of hilarious shit in there that would not pass censor now

I have the TV on and something on my phone when I play a game. Is it ADHD or just brain rot?

I’ll watch 4 or more videos that I’ll jump between tabs of on my PC, but I’ll only have one playing at a time. Watch one for like 5 minutes, attentions lulls, switch to another. Later, the attention for one of the others increases, so I’ll jump back to it.

It’s like…staggered consumption. My attention is weird.

I feel bad because when I game watch videos on another screen while the game is muted on the other.

Hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars wasted on voice acting and sound design. Most of the stuff I play isn’t immersive, though, more narrative driven/puzzle based.

The craziest shit about getting on an SNRI as opposed to an amphetamine based med was how quiet my space is compared to before.

    You mean normie brain?

I can’t split my attention across 5 pieces of media like that; I can only focus on one thing at a time. Cause, you know, I have ADHD.

Different people deal with the lack of focus from ADHD differently. For some of us, being able to constantly swap between activities lessens the mental strain caused by ADHD. For others, having multiple things to do allows them to focus on one of them.
