He’s not alone, there are a lot of them. Eventually they’ll start reaching Trillionaire status, and some of them will form an alliance, and challenge entire countries. They will be able to afford their own armies, conquer territory, and found their own nation, with whatever laws they want.
This is why we can’t have Billionaires. This is an easily predictable future. Do we really have to wait until it happens, and then say “Why didn’t somebody do something to stop them when we had the chance?”

All they have to do is conquer a small nation, probably an island, that NOBODY is going to defend beyond a chewing out, and they’ve been chewed out before.
So then they control a place like Madagascar, or Papua New Guinea, or whatever, and it’s doubtful that the rest of the world will go against them, especially when all the Oligarchs in those countries warn their bought and paid for politicians to stay. Besides, a consortium of Trillionaires can buy off any country that objects.
