    That’s why first circumnavigation of the world was tricky. To get from Philippines back to Europe Spaniards had to navigate around Africa without stopping in any Portuguese controlled ports. Many died. Out of 234 only 18 finished the journey.

      I actually didn’t know that not being able to stop at Portuguese ports was part of the circumnavigation’s difficulty!

It shows that a special kind of bastards thrived during the conquest and made it all possible.

      Trump threatened to invade Greenland… several times… a few months ago.

      By the Treaty of Tordesillas, signed 1494 AD, though, all of the Americas are split between Spain and Portugal… and Greenland falls behind the PORTUGEUSE line!
