People are still confused or dismissive whenever I try to explain why I try to vote for character quality over party or policy. sigh

What’s absolutely wild is that lots of people voted for this guy bc they firmly believed he was the moral high-ground as opposed to those scary devil-loving democrats. It’s mind-boggling…

character can be faked compared to a voting record though. I get what you mean but there is party in the us where just being in it makes the persons character questionable at best. So over party and policy only applies to me if there of reasonable party or policy. If republicans were like they were with teddy roosevelt or lincoln things would be different.

Well yeah, and that’s where things get interesting. Looking at their policy and voting history certainly does matter, and in fact it often is the best way to determine their character.

yeah voting record is top for me, then money, then its how they present themselves and such. ugh. aweful primary this go round with a senate seat as we have a lead canidate I clearly don’t want and a dark horse I very much do want but there is a third canidate I would not like as much as the darkhorse but very much over the leader and she is close to him in polling. So im stuck with the do I vote for who I want the most or vote for my second choice to avoid the one I don’t want. I wish I lived in a the area with the write in guy. Well the irish sounding guy as there is also a spanish sounding one but the irish sounding one was in the bovino commercial with his hands down his pants waggling his figer through his zipper. I so want him running against the republican in the general.
