With 70,000 people in ICE detention, Rep. Delia Ramirez's bill argues that immigration agencies cannot be reformed, only dismantled and rebuilt.

On Tuesday, Reps. Delia Ramirez (D-Ill.) and Yvette Clarke (D-N.Y.) urged fellow Democrats to support the Melt ICE Act. Unlike those in her party who want to amend Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Ramirez’s proposed legislation would essentially end immigrant detention and monitoring under DHS while returning taxpayer dollars to the communities impacted by ICE.

    Did the math and hypothetically if made into Law disbandment would be 2028, the last year of Trump.

    So if we don’t have it effective immediately we continue what we already are doing…resisting and disrupting as many raids as possible
