Just saw the trailer and loved the aesthetic.

Could you share with us how the development process was? For example, what was the hardest thing during the development? How long did it take you to make this game? What engine/tools did you use? What were your inspirations aside from Pools and Severance?

Maybe the answers could be a post itself.

Thank you for the kind words. I always had an idea for a game about Milgram and ethical dilemmas. I remember being on a set for a movie with a lot of time between takes and thinking about the script. That was 2-3 years ago. I started serious work this summer with the script and made the demo in 4 months. Around 30% of the game is done. The main inspiration is the book Obedience to Authority by Milgram himself and some videos by Alex O’Connor where he talks about morality and moral dilemmas. For the actual cases in the game I researched some real world horrible people and decided to borrow parts of their life. Of course names and details have been changed so they won’t sue lol

Yeah hah, there is something about this line that defines the game for me. One of the first ones I wrote when doing the script

It’s in the family of paradoxical/recursive humour I truly enjoy.

Kinda like: “I’m the humblest person on Earth!” and “You’re no true Novellist! You can’t exclaim about exclamations!”

I played the playtest for this game and absolutely loved it. I have it wish listed and can’t wait for the full release. Also made me watch the documentary on YouTube which is also really good :)
