I used to follow a guy on Tumblr who ended up watching a lot of daytime TV while recuperating from surgery.

He came to the conclusion that wrestling was essentially a soap opera designed to be socially acceptable for men to watch.

wrestling theatre (pro wrestling) is there for theatre kids who think theatre is too geeky for them but still like the acting and the showmanship. at least that’s how i feel about it. I absolutely love how welcoming how pro wrestling is to the special needs crowd, so you’ll get no criticism from me (until we start talking about the business end but i don’t know enough to criticise properly. i’d need a minute).

      It’s a thing people like. Everyone knows it’s staged,but it’s fun.

With the masks, this seems to be Mexican Lucha libre, which can get quite crazy (like Jesus fighting midgets or something) and quite a spectacle to beholdin person. I would completely recommend you go see a show if you’re ever in Mexico, great ambiance, greet fun
