A panel for the U.S. Central District Court of California ruled Democrats can proceed in using their redrawn congressional maps for the 2026 midterm elections.
What’s this? From the top rope, it’s the SCOTUS!!! OHHH MAN!! Party line ruling deciding that no, California cannot do this because they’re not Republicans. Only Republicans can redistrict for political benefit.

I could be mistaken, but since this is a state level issue wouldn’t it rather go to the state supreme court?
It happened with Texas and the SCOTUS ruled that it was too close to the election to change their maps back to what they should have been.
