I’m sorry but this annoys the shit out of me when people in white imperialist countries say this shit. Winning elections by itself doesn’t defeat fascism. Most of the countries that won by elections during the Cold War had their leaders deposed and had fascists installed because they were helpful to US interests. That is the entire point of this post. Just voting doesnt do fuck all to stop fascism.
It absolutely does. If a fascist can win a legitimate election then the people are choosing fascism and that’s always a possibility. In that scenario there will not be enough people to stop fascism because the majority voted for fascism.
For a movement to end fascism it has to have the majority of the population supporting it. Meaning voting is the first step to making the population pick a side.
