It looks like Brett Ratner was working on it and couldn’t get it picked up. He was canceled for sexual assault and harassment allegations. Apparently he also wanked it in front of the catering staff.
Then Ratner directed an embarrassing puff piece documentary about Melania, and suddenly Trump is decreeing a sequel to a movie series that he has probably never seen. Weird.
