The solution is asshole first, bore second, idiot last.
In this scenario, you probably wouldn’t want the idiot to be the last to leave the old project. Leave the bore for last, to wrap it up. Also, introducing the bore last to the new project allows the whole team to learn from the idiot’s mistakes, for which the asshole is well aware of by that time.
