For added entertainment, they sometimes Don’t Get It and what they say is “subtle” is, in fact, right in your face.
e.g. they say Monster Hunter Wilds is “subtly pro-climate action” which is like saying a tungsten cube is “slightly hefty” or Life Is Strange is “a little bit gay”

I haven’t played Disco Elysium, but it strikes me as the type of game where you’re character would only be gay if you choose to do so.
“There was a dialog option to either ask a man out on a date or say goodbye. I clicked the asked him out on a date and the game forced me to flirt with another man! This is so woke!”
Conservatives don’t want to let you even have the choice to be gay in fictional settings.
Admitting gay people exist is an attack on the political identity. Reality has a liberal bias.
Oh they know gay people exist, they just don’t want them to exist, or at the very least, bury themselves into the closet and have kids in a heterosexual passing relationship anyway because they believe that is more important than anything.
They see media not as a reflection of reality, but as a way to enforce an ideal “reality”, hence why they’re threatened by women doing things and gays and trans people existing. In their world, queers don’t exist, women are barefoot, pregnant and tied to the kitchen sink, and men are manly to the point of homoeroticism.
And so I declare a crusade against it!
