    EU could take the opportunity and become the new power-broker but clearly they can’t shake off the “I can’t tell anyone what to do, that wouldn’t be nice” mentality. China will not hesitate to step in.

      How do you become a power broker if you are a net-importer unlike Russia and the US who produce more then they consume?

        What are you talking about? US has a negative trade balance and managed to become a power broker for decades. Russia has tiny economy, not idea why would you include the here.
