A new Census Bureau report establishes that poverty increased over the course of the Biden administration. The data is yet another rebuke to the politicians and commentators who insisted economic conditions under Joe Biden were great.

Both parties are puppets for billionaires. Some of them might be different billionaires, but they’re still making their puppets dance, and none of them give a fuck about the working class. Some of them just have a better working-class PR game and do a really great sales job. It varies which is which. The point is, you can’t trust either of them, neither of them are the answer, and their ideas for the economy and the country are never actually designed to help you, although they might occasionally help by accident don’t interpret that as one being genuinely better than the other. The game is rigged on both sides. Picking the less rigged side, even if you’re right, is not a winning strategy, it’s just losing slower.
Sad thing is, all of this was easily avoidable. You only needed to prioritize the needs of the general population and tell the rich to fuck off. But noooooo, the billionaires need more money. So here we are, in an economic depression because no one has money for anything, not even basic needs. Millions upon millions of ghost jobs and stagnant wages.
The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Both Republicans and Democrats want it that way.
As a percentage of the population, overall poverty stayed the same from 2023 to 2024 (12.9%), while child poverty fell slightly (from 13.7% to 13.4%).
Except Biden’s term didn’t start in 2023
(It didn’t start in 2019 either, but starting in 2020 would be unfair I guess because apparently the only way Anerica can do the stimulus checks and expanded benefits that brought these things down that year is if there’s a literal once in a century natural disaster and if we let a Republican president sign it so their extremely fragile egos don’t get hurt)

I mean yes. And it’s gotten even worse under Trump too. Biden was an old establishment fuck, expecting him to do anything of value other then just blissfully shut the fuck up was delulu.

It would be just as accurate to say poverty has gotten worse since before Obama was president and it would still be correct.
