Not to be doomer but I think at our current pace the west might skip right to fascism part before the climate catastrophe kicks in full force over here 😔
Some argue that the current rise of fascism is a direct consequence of the rarefaction of cheap energy sources and of further virgin ecosystems to exploit. (I can provide some sources if anyone is interested).I think that it does make sense, but only time will tell. Not that anything we can put in place now would reverse the tendency.
