Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tells i24 he feels he is on a “historic and spiritual mission,” and that he is “very” attached to the vision of Greater Israel, which includes areas slated for a future Palestinian state and possibly also areas that are part of present-day Jordan and Egypt.

Someone else acted out their great vision between 1933-45, too… the actors and the clothes have just changed

I don’t think Hamas is very fond of the guy starving and murdering them. I know it’s fashionable on Lemmy to portray them as Machiavellian actors who only care about power, but like these are living, breathing people too and nobody enjoys getting carpet bombed.

      Edit: I misunderstood that.

As an Egyptian I would be thrilled if Israel tried to invade. Even our Zionist stooges wouldn’t be able to ignore that.

They would ignore that and Egypt would get egypt would get its shit rocked. Not to the fault of the Egyptian people but your govt and military are fully in bed with Israel and are a disgrace to the ummah, as are most sunni nations. The real heroes are the resistance

Of course he was never going to stop. If his goal is to actually cause the annihilation of Jews by worldwide hatred then mission accomplished.

He is validating every fucked up right wing anti semite stereotype.

Sure, he just doesn’t define specific interpretation of that greater Israel. Obviously for him it’s endless retention of power by any means possible, while avoiding any responsibility.

Obama contributed to this. He campaigned on opposing settlement expansion, supporting a two-state solution, and acknowledging Palestinian suffering, but in office he largely upheld U.S. support for Israel, backing down on settlement freezes, defending Israeli assaults on Gaza, vetoing UN actions, and signing a record military aid package.

Yea I totally remember when instead of continuing Israel’s state, you know he moved the capital and all of this as well… cause no dems have ever done this but you still need a boogie man…remember Biden’s genocidal plan? No you don’t cause you made it up all along while this shit was waiting on the wings… all it takes is a simple mind which here we have… https://www.aljazeera.com/opinions/2025/1/28/trumps-genocidal-plan-to-clean-out-gaza-was-there-all-along

        But yea both sides

If you can’t accept legitimate criticism of your side, you’re in a cult.

I’m not a republican, I’m a socialist Palestinian. Biden did start and enthusiastically support the genocide that Trump is finishing.

Legitimate criticism is fine, absolutes making both sides the same isn’t helpful.

Absolutism works both ways and you calling others cultists doesn’t help you. In fact it perpetuates the very genocide you claim to oppose.

Here we are and you’re making enemies of the genocide’s enemy…

You aren’t the genocide’s enemy if you’re still supporting the same unapologetic people that started it. You’re just self righteous.
