Why don’t you just subscribe to their shared calendars and have your own calendars hosted by yourself? I mean, I have around 10 to 20 calendars subscribed for different topics.

If you sync the Calendar with Google, you don’t have privacy anyway. So I would at least protect my own private info, if they don’t want.

I’ve been using Synapse with Element X (earlier Element) for years. I remember, notifications were a problem some time ago, but it got a lot better. I also have ntfy as notification backend.

With Element X there are finally video conferences possible.

Personally, I think that installing it on a bare metal Windows Server system is quite an achievement.

I’ve seen that the patches are only available in the debian-security repository. It’s important to review your repo list in /etc/apt/sources.list.d.

Key sharing When an event cannot be decrypted due to missing keys, a client may want to request them from other clients which may have them.

If users cannot do anything because all encryption keys are lost, then they need to know that and also how to avoid the situation in the future.

I think it’s not a bug. It’s simply no one online who can share a decryption key.

This is quite annoying. When will devs learn to tell people to resolve the problem instead of just showing a pointless error messages?
