  • the scenario in which China just stops selling to the US would probably collapse China’s economy too. Think about it. Why is the national debt so high? How is it that high and yet “most prosperous nation in the world”? International investment. There’s a lot of money invested from China and other countries. Their investments are only good so long as the American economy is good. International investors can leverage American debt to them as sort of capital asset to thereby invest in other things…

It’s a giant domino effect. When China pulls out, the American economy will likely collapse… but, then all the money people had invested and had leveraged also collapse… and so then those international investors can’t pay their debts because they have nothing to leverage it with and thus also collapse… and so on and so forth… the ripple is wide.

    Here’s where you’re wrong

Their litmus test for “people they think will agree with them” is just: be a white man.

I am a burly white dude. Tall, big beard, I look like I walked out of the mountains… Unprompted, some white people will casually say some unhinged rascist shit to me. And have, many times.

One time there was a shooting nearby, a white maintenence worker told me about it, and then without missing a beat goes “it was two black guys shooting at eachother, so much for brotherly love, right?”

Another time, in a gas station up in the sticks, Im buying a can of monster. Some white stranger, unprompted, taps me on the shoulder starts telling me about how the logo is a Jewish letters for the sign of the devil…

So, no, you dont have to be someone these people know… you just have to a white man. They assume any white man (especially masculine presenting) is one of them.

  • no, they don’t. Not unprompted. They have no reason to question it because they’re not forced to. And if they grow up surrounded by people reinforcing it, encouraging it, and no one to question it, that becomes their reality, it’s how they view the world. Normal to them, a monster to everyone else.

Literally Plato’s cave. It’s what they’re exposed to and what they know. It’s their curated reality, taught by monsters. And when they grow up, they reject new information because it doesn’t align with what they understand as “reality”.

Every person who ever “escaped” their faith, had some external factor that made them have to reconcile their reality. Question the shadows on the cave. Something outside of their bubble made them think that the world was different from what they were raised on. And then they had to choose to learn more over the more comfortable prospect of staying inside. It’s why cults work, but no one says “say what you will about the leader, but leave the members alone”… it’s the same operating principle.
