Can we go back to using the dirty money in donations to build libraries and improving educational systems instead of each billionaire hyping the next hyper surveillance platform and hallucinating aggregators?

No, but she’s not in Bill’s go-to age range. Guess that wasn’t the clear intent

Stop blaming women for aging
Damn, I am not immune to Roman propaganda after all
I thought Medusa was punished with that petrifying curse for being too sexy and tempting. And then men still wouldn’t leave her alone
I’m guilty of this to varying degrees. All motorcyclists and any bicyclists that are doing it as a hobby. I get it for cars where, in my entire continent, they are pretty much a requirement. You have to have a car (let’s not do a car-free digression right now).
But motorcycling? Or trail biking? Those are electives. I have bias because I’m mechanical and the people I get along with tend to also be mechanical. Both hobbies are ones where mechanical issues are frequent enough that you’d rather not be stranded for something basic - or, at least, that’s my thought process. With a bicycle, there’s not a whole lot to it (to me) so why not have the pocket multi tool that could disassemble the whole bike and why not know how to use it? With motorcycles, they have some flukes and tows are so tricky/pricey that I’d like to exhaust all my diagnostic options first. I guess I do have the same view on car drivers as well, but in limited ways. Namely, how to change a flat. I charitably change about 3 a year randomly on the road.
That’s my thought process. It matches my initial facial expression. I try to not put it out verbally though and just help if I can.

I quit around 2019 because I just didn’t stand a chance anymore. I’d place 2 walls and a ramp in the time it took most top-25 players to build a small castle with a wine cellar, jacuzzi, and escalator (or so it felt). I can’t keep up with these goddamn Ritalin-riddled kids.
It always cracks me up when my go-to move (in zero build) is to just stand still when it gets to close quarters. They start jumping like a cracked out kangaroo and miss shot after shot. I only do pitch/yaw and some sideways strafe, no jumping. It lets me use my Ps1/Ps2 era PvE experience.

I considered that, but decided it was AI throwing words together like “garlicpper”. Yes, a chat LLM knows “turkey”, but an image generator doesn’t. I didn’t mention it was a graphic. Another commenter has posted it, so you can be your own judge.

Yep, that’s it. I didn’t feel the need to propogate its presence. Mmmm, steak lips. And my favorite other dish made from cranberro sauce and crango juice. Also, no temperature or time at all. Just… Boil for hours?

Fortnite. No story to catch up on, no true goals besides winning, no long-term strategizing. I’m sure PUBG is the same/better, but my SO is entertained by the cartoonish nature of FN. It brings us excitement when I’m close to winning. With the introduction of zero build, I fair well. I used to feel more guilt for it being a “bad” game and for not giving time to the betrer story/campaign titles, bur you know what? I’m tired and my time is limited as an actual adult. I’ll take my dopamine where I can get it, thank you.
I’m replaying Ace Combat 7 right now. I can’t believe how bad the writing is. I played it in 2020 and had a grand time with probably 6 runs for the various achievements. Turns out, I remember basically nothing of the story. It’s definitely amusing to revisit the AI story aspects now that “AI” is in full swing. I guess AC5 set my standard for AC stories, but maybe that doesn’t hold up well either. Regardless, I’m in it for the fun, respectable flight physics. Just don’t ask me where I keep 144 missiles stored.

I tried MW3 (I think?) but never figured out ANYTHING. I was young, joystick drivers didn’t work, and I hadn’t the slightest idea how to map out all the functions of a mech suit. Now I have nearly 50 inputs mapped to an Xbox controller for Elite Dangerous fully memorized. What a change in times.
I liked Cauldron Born. I had that and Mad Cat as K’nex models. Hated Orion. Since I never figure out how to do anything, all I can judge them on is their appearance in the build menu. I was also like… 10?

I just saw someone repost AI Slop as a list of “classic Thanksgiving crockpot recipes”. It included various ingredients such as:
Honestly, it got me angrier than it should have, but it’s a sign of the times. It wasn’t verified by the poster and it’s just clearly AI Slop.

The handful of MAGAs still left in my social feed jumped on releasing the epstein files as soon as Trump flipped. Shits hilarious. So yeah, I agree, trump’s statements are these people’s beliefs at the drop of a tweet

At what mental cost?

This just in: women are not just slightly smaller men. Difference in spine/height proportion, hip joint location, hip joint angle, fat distribution, center of mass, and breasts, just to name some things off the top of my head.
All those plastic Halloween skeletons are anatomically male, by the way. Really, nearly all depicted skeletons and skulls are male. The hip/pelvis is reliable by looking at whether the hip goes out more sideways than downwards and whether a baby skull would fit through the pelvic hole. The jawline is another indicator, with males having square jawlinse and females having pointed chins, as viewed from the front. I don’t know about you but when I first learned that, I was shocked at how feminine the sample skull looked. Yes, obviously, genetics play a role in jawline so it’s not a deadset sign, which is why the pelvis is used more consistently.

I played AC: Rogue most recently. Its the first time I refused to 100% the missions and, for the most part, skipped collectibles. I started off going for everything and was struggling to enjoy it and didn’t feel motivated to play it. Granted, Rogue is a weak game in the series (alternate dev), but I still wanted the story (even though the script and voice acting was laughable at points).
I 100%d the missions and got 90%+ collectibles (in this order) in Unity, Syndicate, Origins, Odyssey, and IV prior to that. It was kinda nice to be free and and pin myself in side-quest-purgatory at 90% mission completion to not “end the game too soon”.

They’re not calling people dumb for not knowing, they’re calling them dumb for not investigating. If you hear a wild claim, you should investigate. This shouldn’t still work because most of us here know it’s been a running joke for at least 20 years in the US with continuous anti-Muslim and anti-middle-easter/Arabic sentiment and bills post 9/11.
It shouldn’t be incredibly confusing, either. It’s fine to not automatically know that Amerocan/English refers to “western Arabic numerals” as simply “Arabic numerals” in shorthand. I didn’t. That’s why I briefly researched it when you said you had a different set of numerals in a region. Since I don’t know exactly what to look for to validate my own searches, I genuinely asked you if what you learned matched what was in the Wikipedia page. I have no direct experience.
People use shorthand all the time. It makes things confusing. I didn’t know a “convection oven” was actually a “forced convection oven” until this year. In my head, it wasn’t something I ever questioned because all my ovens have had the primary heater at the bottom, meaning convection would carry hot air upwards. Turns out, FCOs have a fan at the top to force better circulation. Surprise, this revolution of air fryers? They’re just countertop [forced] convection ovens. Similarly, I have a gripe with people customizing cars with “coilovers”. The majority of cars already have coil[spring]-over-[shock]s, but what they mean is “adjustable coilovers”. It’s a carryover from when cars did NOT have the various coilover designs as standard. Shocks outside coil springs, leaf springs, torsion springs, etc.

Looking at Wikipedia, we’re talking about western Arabic numerals in Europe/USA (TIL). Did you use one of the versions listed here as Eastern arabic numerals? Briefly reading the history, eastern is more common across modern Arabic regions.

Who’s that US republican congressman that got big mad at trump for using some derogatory mental disability term? And he had the gall to say he’s been a supporter of disability aid ever since his daughter was diagnosed? “I fought against it until I was personally affected because I have the empathetic capacity of a shoe” is his platform, I beleive
