I saw the phrase the other day and thought the same thing. They should be complaining about the manufacturers “feature hoarding”.

My theory is that the earths crust is a barrier between us and the magma below. The driving force of this is the temperature of the crust and so as it rises, the barrier will be compromised. Just a theory, not based in fact or knowledge. One thing I know for sure is that collectively we have very little knowledge about what global warming will unleash.
