I remember hearing that one potential reason for it not being as popular in the US was that TV stations couldn’t make as much money since theres no timeouts or stopages in play. American football has a lot more down time allowing for more ads.

Personally I think American football is boring as shit. Its one 5sec play followed by 30sec of standing around. Average game is something like 3hrs, but theres only about 10min where the ball is actually in play.

I know its unlikely they will hear anything I say, but I like to point out, with solid logic, people who see themselves as rightous (without any actual introspection) are actually giant pieces of shit. I have yet to hear any good argument from them in response.

If their punishment fetish is what allows them to be ok with potentially killing innocent people, then they deserve to be next in line. They are no different than those they want to punish. I don’t even think punish is the right word. Executions would be vengeance. They have that fetish because they think of themselves as righteous, good people. They are not. People who support the death penalty are no different than medieval peasants cheering on the gruesome torture of a “criminal” like its entertainment. That is sadism. They can not be the good person they see themselves as and be sadistic at the same time. They just love to feed the sadistic part of themselves. I just try to get them to be more introspective, and that if their goal is to be a rightous person, they need to stop feeding their own sadism.

I’ve tried arguing that its not about the guilty. Its about us. We are the ones preforming the execution. Killing a killer doesn’t reduce the number of killers. It just brings us down to their level. In my mind, if you take pleasure in the suffering of others, whether they deserve it or not, its sadism. People need to realize that the positive feeling they get from vengeance is just another form of sadism. If you want to think of yourself as a good person then you shouldn’t feed that personality trait.

I remember a girl telling me a story back in high school when she was in a class that would go and interact with 1st and 2nd graders. She told the story of her meeting a young girl with a name tag that said “Gina”, so she said “hi Gina”. The girl responded “its pronounced Gyna”. She said she had to turn and walk away as to not laugh in the girl’s face.

I saw a theory the other day that there was no tip from an McDonald’s employee. The authorities might’ve used some illegal surveillance to find him and just said it was a tip from an employee to avoid acknowledging that.

Well if we are able to get out of this shitshow and get competent people in charge again maybe we can use whatever loophole they use for this to enact some actual gun regulations.

An easy way to measure is ask how much was he worth in 2015 vs now. There was some question if he ever was a billionaire at that time, but let’s be generous and say he had at most 5 billion. What’s his wealth now? Last I heard its upwards of 50 billion. So he spent 40+ years struggling to stay a billionaire, but as soon as he got into politics he increased his wealth over 10× in less than a decade. Is there any other politician who even comes close to that amount of increase in wealth? This is by far the most corrupt administration in American history.

They don’t raise the standard of living for the poor because they view labor as a commodity. If we made things less difficult for the poor then the price of labor will go up because people wouldn’t be as desperate. Their goal is to make the price of labor as low as possible.

Wasn’t it a big thing when the white house was first built that they didn’t want it to be a palace? They wanted to make it clear that it was not meant for a king.

I don’t know what racist town you’re from, but that is not reality no matter how much racists wish it was. As for a name for people who take more than anyone could ever deserve, we simply call them billionaires.

Of course everyone wants to make money. Its about HOW the money is made. If we lived in a meritocracy the way they claim, then you can measure how hard someone works by their wealth, and you’re gonna sit there and tell me there are people who work a BILLION times harder than the average person? Get the fuck outa here. Billionaires only exist because they are taking more than they deserve, and its gotta come from somewhere. They are stealing from all of us and devaluing our labor.
