Children should have the freedom to traverse the world independently (and their parents the freedom to let them) as they’re able to do so responsibility. Don’t let the carbrain win, this is a reason to change infrastructure and laws for cars, not for children. There’s way more than enough “think of the children” alarmist nonsense out there.
On par, roughly. More prevelent sexual torture/rape, less prevelent mass demolition of homes/property, similar in many other ways, and similar severity of atrocity all things considered early on.
