It didn’t cost you a fortune, and it could’ve easily been your own mistake.

He’s retired, meaning older.

He’s had other relationships, and doesn’t want/need that anymore.

I’ve talked to a LOT of older folks (big family, think 50-80) and it’s common for them to say “I can’t imagine getting married again”. Not that marriage was a mistake, just they lack effort and energy required for that kind of commitment anymore.

Good idea with reading glasses - of they make a noticeable difference then there’s something amiss.

BTW, among those other activities there is one that should help rest your eyes a lot and rather quickly: going out for a walk.

This needs it’s own post. It’s a huge part of why we have so many more people with vision problems, and statistics reflect this.

Our eyes need the whole range of motion, like any other muscular system - so looking in the distance needs to happen more often for most of us.

Hell, I rarely notice who posts something (post or comment).

I’ve sometimes found myself upvoting someone in a thread that I disagree with earlier in the same thread.

Iron Sky is way, way better than you’d think.

As some who grew up watching the original Speed Racer, I fully expected the movie to be awful. Despite all the cheesy graphics it actually works! It was a decent homage to it’s origin.

Even in a rainy area they don’t help.

I’ve had (and my siblings and friends) as many rust out with a cover as without.

In a rainy area they just trap moisture after the rain stops (high humidity areas).

We don’t bother anymore.
