Trump should just create a tarrif that doubles whatever increase the target nation does.
So tarrifs China 50%. China hits back 50% so now China is 150%
Then China should do the same and raise tarrifs.
Then we’ll have infinity tarrifs!

Can’t have a parade if doge fires the entire military!!!
Next thing you know he’s going to say WordPress isn’t used by anyone.
So there were some military contracts that were just awarded.
54 missions total:
SpaceX: 28 missions, $5.9 B = $210.7 M per launch
ULA: 19 missions, $5.4 B = $284 M per launch
BO: 7 missions, $2.4 B = $342.9 M per launch
SpaceX did get the most money, but they were also the cheapest provider due to their reusable 1st stages.
Just with those 9 extra launches over ULA SpaceX saves the US government and taxpayers 668 million dollars.
If SpaceX didn’t exist, it would have been 8 2 billion more but actually worse since the other providers can’t supply that much and wouldn’t have had as much competitive incentive. Just look at BO the next one which was almost 60m more than ULA. It easily could have ballooned to 4b more adding a 3rd even more expensive option.
Doesn’t seem so self dealing to me, they were able to bid lower and win more, and saved, (I’m assuming you given your rage upset) a shit load of money.
This is what SpaceX has been doing for years, well before he got in bed with Trump.
I would be shocked if anything would have deterred them if the knew they would be there.
They’ll only somehow finagle it by saying Trump didn’t serve 2 consecutive terms which wouldn’t allow Obama.
That’s the same everywhere, not just the US.
The right destroys what the left/center build so the left/center rebuild it and then the right destroys it again.
Just a further thought…
It’d be interesting if the tax could automatically increase if these goals that were met, were no longer met.
So to go from 3% to 2% you need to generate an extra billion revenue, but if you lose that revenue it then climbs back to 3%.
It would really complicate the system… you’d essentially need to always be set up to charge income tax, but then have a variable rate that updates the systems maybe quarterly or yearly. But you couldn’t ditch the system entirely since you’d need companies to have a method to suddenly start charging it again if it had to go from 0% to 0.5%
It sounds like it only goes to 0 if certain goals are met, otherwise it’ll go down to, and then stay at 3%.
So if they can’t figure something out like those other states, it won’t go to 0.
Still a bad idea, but it’s not a lets make it 0% right away then FAFO
I feel like it’d be pretty hard to get a job in a freaking airport terminal as an illegal immigrant as well… not the brightest racist person there.
Ya know … a lot of things get called unprecedented, but I gotta say, I highly doubt a journalist has ever been included on a classified military strike chat anywhere in the modern world, possibly the whole world, ever.
So ya this is definitely unprecedented.
If someone absolutely had to be fired over this, it’s her supervisor for either not telling her to let a higher up know, or being a god dam supervisor and not reporting it up the chain themselves. WTF
Oops meant to reply to this earlier but was busy.
I was thinking more that Grok was aware of its prompt but was somehow able to then self reference it to accuse Musk of trying to silence itself.
If the prompt said you won’t speak poorly of Musk, but the AI doesn’t think telling the truth in a specific way is speaking poorly, it might say Musk doesn’t want me to say bad things about him. It knows the prompt and it made an answer.
So it’s kinda leaking the prompt that way
Is this one of the things where no one was fired because they were all laid off and it’s word games?
If it was somehow leaking it’s initial prompt maybe it could be revealing that?
The one that says your name is grok, you’re a helpful assistant, you will not speak poorly of Elon Musk, I Elon Musk am your creator, etc.
Oh wow, proof it also has disappearing messages enabled.
I don’t know the legality of the messages being able to disappear, but the fact it’s enabled is a clear cut violation of the law.
And this is why a family member with a green card got their citizenship ahead of Trump winning the 1st election just in case.
Why does any government invest time or money into new and evolving things. To stay up to date, be ready for change, and see how that new change can be of benefit.
When there’s a disruptive force, you have a few options
try to kill it so it can’t disrupt
do nothing and be disrupted
dip you toes in, so if disruption happens you aren’t blindsided and can hopefully wade through it
take a chance and swim in it so you can be on the leading edge of that disruption.
They’ve kinda tried option 1 but failed.
Option 2 could lead to long term consequences
Option 3 leaves them prepared but not overly exposed
Option 4 would be pretty risky
So really, option 3 is probably the best bet given option 1 hasn’t been working.
These swings are good opportunities to harvest losses if they cause any and you can move into something else that’s similar.
Like from a Blackrock 80/20 fund to a fidelity 80/20 fund or whatever it would be.
Minimal risk but you can still realize a loss.
I was going to do that until he of course undid it today. My timing was off unfortunately.
