At this point “gay” is a compliment to me, ngl.

Nah, I just grew up in Turkey which was extra prone to propoganda.
North Iraq had surprisingly little, unless you count “religious studies” class as propoganda of course.
If I had to rank countries/regions I went to school in by how much propoganda they had, it would be
Turkey (Konya) > US (Texas) > North Iraq (Sulaymaniyah)
So not US defaultism, but there was slight anectodalism on my part for sure lmao.

Also install a bunch of games on homescreen. Wtf is “blocks!”
Ooh fun fact about this:
Gpt3 and chatgpt came out a good 3 years after the 2020 pandemic, but LLMs were around in 2019 with even a niche mobile DnD style game, AI dungeon, using gpt2 as their core gimmick.
I like to mention this because even before I started boycotting AI, I was thinking “AI dungeon was better at this than chatgpt.” I learned it was using gpt2 in the back later.
All that “chatgpt exponentially getting better” is marketing. It’s getting better in one thing while worse in the other, at most.
I also like to mention this because AI dungeon went broke from all the server costs. They weren’t even training, just hosting, and it was still too unprofitable.
You missed SO much propoganda by not paying attention.
One of the ceasefire talks ended because Israel kept sending missiles in the middle of it.
Unless US completely accepts all the terms, Yahu can just go “nah” and keep US in war. Even once the president changes.
Only other option is we stop funding Israel their missiles, but obviously that’s antisemitic. /s

3·1 day agoPeople gambling away a small portion of their generational wealth is, in practice, infinite money.
It’s kinda impressive. Technology has come so far that upper class is basically living in a post-scarcity collective now.
We could get away with 6 hour work-weeks at $300/hr if we just removed the middlemen inefficencies from the economy.
Date, the fruit.
You have to check for maggots, actually.

neglectednegated with a squadron of gay soldiers, just saying. You can even code-name them “the spartans.”
What was it that rich people say when they hear this? “Then pull yourself by the bootstraps, go out, and make money!” I will land you a guillotine.

I just wait until they upload a bunch of stuff so I can return.
I feel that annoyance. For example when people call middle-easterners “brown,” happens even on lemmy, but I think it’s used as more of a rhetoric device meaning “non-european” here so it’s not as bad.
Yes, but people will judge you now.
Ottomans tried calling themselves Rome at some point.
Also about two months ago, I read an old French essay from 1800s where author says something along the lines of “even the emperor of constantinople fell weak with the passage of time,” and I went MAD trying to figure out if they mean the sick man of europe or the dead.
Instructions unclear, they said
“It’s the same difference between Han and Qing Dynasties, they were a different ethnicity and administration too, but why do we consider China to historically be one country that splits and unifies again instead of a new nation each time? Ottomans called themselves Rome too, does academic nuance only extend to Europe? Why do we neglect eastern history? In this essay, I will…”
