Sophia Wilson has scored her first goal, since her return from maternity leave.

The striker scored the game-winning goal of Portland’s 2-1 victory over Angel City FC. Wilson’s goal occurred in the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time. Wilson — who gave birth to her daughter Gianna “Gigi” Wilson in September 2025 — went one-on-one with Angel City goalkeeper Angelina Anderson, before slotting the ball to the opposite low corner.
