Ground News as a Concept I’ve always found Great! In Execution it has always been subpar tho, especially in regards to European Coverage. Understandable given that its American based and thusly Caters to Americans first and foremost.
Then there is also their Annoying and hidden use of AI. Those Bullet Point that give a quick run down of a Story? AI, even if they seemingly intentionally don’t mention it. Issues and Obvious errors are Abundant there, making Ground News for Quick look ups of storys Simply Unreliable and Untrustworthy. In general thier AI Coverage seems to be quite Biased to Positivity, though at this point I may just be Gaslighting myself on that…
So what European Alternative are there to Ground News, if any at all?
Morphreader is a German made alternative with RSS feed integration. BUT It also has AI. The developer plans to FOSS the project for F-Droid in the near future so keep an eye on it.
