Explanation: The “Luftwaffe” was the Nazi German air force in WW2.
The German word waffe - “weapon” - sounds/looks a bit like waffeln - “wafers”
I think we still call air force part of Bundeswehr like that. Because luftwaffe = air weapon and that not really change.

My German teacher in primary school was insane and would scream at you for laughing at the language, it’s not my fault half your words sound funny to a child.
If you changed the main body into ground meat in a casing, that would be the wurst plane ever.
I once saw a comment under a video about linguistics of an American who said they mixed up the words “Waffen” and “Waffeln” while in Germany, and they were the American who told the Germans that they eat guns for breakfast.
