Internet memes really gave me a false sense of how much of an advantage my height was going to be in online dating.

I’m open to different body types, so people who set height requirements for dating sound needlessly picky. My eyes gloss over whenever I hear them say an arbitrary height or weight in specific numbers, and I’m done with that person forever. I’m not even interested in their friendship when it seems like they’ll just set some other impossible standard rather than being open to the world.

My ex is 11 cm taller than me and height never was an issue for us. And why should it be? Except if your self worth depends on it, then you might want to consider therapy.
