I really like thinkygames.com for puzzle games. I am looking for something similar keeping the indie game coverage but less specific to a genre.
Where do you guys get your news from?
Bonus points for interviews with developer/director and a RSS feed.
aftermath.site is a great news source.
SUPERJUMP is nonprofit, and they cover a lot of indie games.
This looks cool! Thanks for sharing.
tripleiris@peertube.wtf on Peertube covers indie games. They made a video of indie gems over the summer sale and the ones I tried were great.
On that note, there was a site called ninja something as I recall about 10 years ago or so that I liked that would review and recommend indie games. I couldn’t find it recently. Anyone maybe knows or remembers what I am talking about?
Comment section of AA or AAA gaming news in r/games or r/pcgaming
I have a good track record with
“if you are interested in past AAA game like X, look at small y” comments from “decently acting” users
I follow GOG RSS feed, a good chunk of it is indie games (not just “old games”)
Kitfox games has a YouTube channel where they show off a bunch of their current and upcoming games. Often videos by the developer themselves.
I don’t have a more general type site.
Recently this channel came up in my feed. There’s a few like this, that will highlight interesting games on Steam that haven’t had much attention.
Steam
I like seeing the developers talk about the games they work on. They are on BlueSky social
I mainly like Toby fox’s account on there
