Hello all!

With winter at our doorstep my winter shoes decided to break apart.

I am looking for something durable for the winter, hopefully not prohibitively expensive.

I live in a country where it snows :)

Any recommendations?

In my experience Ecco makes good and durable shoes, especially their leather versions.

I really can recommend Hanwag as hiking boots very durable. I also use often Avocadostore looking for European made shoes.

Unfortunately cannot recommend any specific winter boots, as I my old ones are still solid and not made in the EU.

Just to name some good brands: Meindl, Haix, Lowa, Hanwag.

I use my Meindl Stowe GTX hiking boots as winter boots, too.

Haix Scout cheaply bought as German army surplus are good for mild weather and are often still good enough for cold (but not wet) weather.
