This community currently does not have an active moderator right now. With a recent increase in activity, we are also seeing some reports, and without a mod team those reports are going to the admins. It would be better for this community to have an active mod team to handle those.

      No one is saying they are evil. It’s not behavioral, it’s physiological, and it’s genetic. Even well trained animals are a problem. You cannot have dangerous animals where they place others at risk. If it was a breed of snake responsible for large numbers of human injuries, you wouldn’t bat an eye at its banning.

      No one is saying pit bulls are evil however their breeding over time involved the best traits for dog fighting and yes they’re still being used for that nefarious purpose.

    I’m glad that my city reversed a ban on pit bulls. I’ve volunteered at an animal shelter for nearly two decades and to say that pitbulls are more violent than other breeds is utterly preposterous. This is fear mongering.
