I think at this point we’re will have recession, even if trump reverts those tariffs.
He created so much uncertainty that people won’t suddenly forget everything and resume shopping like nothing happened.
You forgot the part where foreign governments, corporations, and consumers actively divert trillions of dollars of revenue and investments away from the US.
Removing the tariffs won’t remove the distrust or risk, and if the US is somehow able to have legitimate elections again, removing Trump won’t either. The world now considers a significant portion of the American populace mentally-ill. It would take generations to fix that damage, if ever.
What if we just delay another month! that should do even more confidence…
