  • Thats why you hammer safe sex into them and that casual encounters are worth your consideration as well. This isn’t a one time discussion, it should be ongoing. It helps if you treat sex like something normal so the kids don’t feel stupid putting on a condome and respect EVERYBODY not just the “good girls” that

  • Dude you don’t decide if people are respecting their bodies the right way. This IS some puritanical shit.

If you are so fragile that the wrong vag will destroy you than please do your dew dilligence and don’t fuck anyone you haven’t vetted thouroughly. But don’t speak like you have any authority over the rest of us.

  • First no, my first time wasn’t that great and i sincerly do not care about it at all. I still don’t get why everyone makes such a fuss about it.

Second this is not even what the tweet is about, it speaks about the expectation of young women to guard their virginity like a treasure and if they “fail” to give their virginity (as if it was present), to the perfect partner they somehow “got taken advantage of” and people pretend it changes something fundemantal about the girl.

Rape victims who didn’t have sex before the rape suffer especially under this. On top of the trauma they also get the message that they lost something important, are fundamentally lesser because of a dick that was inside of them.

This tweet is saying men aren’t special enough to take anything important from you just because their dick was inside of you, you aren’t funamentally changed, you don’t need to stress too much about it.

Virginity is just a concept, its not that deep. Otherwise lesbians would be virgins forever.

  • Okay i am assuming you are well meaning so i hope you have kept an open mind and are actually interested in “solutions”. I am also well meaning but my frustration will come through in my comment. I am urging you to actually read up on the issue bc you have not .

There is no epidemic. Fat people don’t need to be eradicated, be mindful about what you put out in the world, talking about fat people like THEY are a disease is incredible dehumanising. Other “unhealthy” habits we talk about are something you do not what you are.

Imagine we would treat everyone who isn’t perfectly fit like we treat fat people, imagine people commenting on your body all of the time because you aren’t jacked. We are accepting and even in favor of a level of virtriol towards fat people that would be unimaginable if done to any other kind of populace.

If you are worried for the health of people than go from there, what are the specifics you care about? Because i can guarante you thin people have all the same problems. I am thin as a stick but certainly unhealthy as fuck.

Here are some points for you to think about

    1. The health sector isn’t perfect, doctors can believe in myths. Just like black people and women don’t get the pain medication they need fat people often don’t get the care they need because doctors are solely focused on their health. If you listen to fat people they will tell you all about it. BMI is not a great tool since everyone is different and just having a higher BMI is not enough information to go on.
    2. Fat peoples higher risks often don’t go away when they lose weight. We need more studies here.
    3. Stress is bad for your overall health. How stressful do you think it is when everyone and their mother makes your body their problem. Poor people are more often stressed too.
    4. Lets be honest people don’t care about fat peoples health, they care because they don’t like seeing it. We are all unhealthier and unfitter than we could be but for everyone else it is " don’t tell others what to do"
    5. The constant talk about weight triggers eating disorders and make fat people gain even more weight this is a fact not an opinion.
    6. Everything can become a healthrisk, boxers destroy their brain, basejumpers regulary fall to their death, bodybuilders take too many drugs. Its not an epidemic people will do people things.

There is so much more to it, one of my favorite health podcasts is “maintenance phase” give it a listen they talk alot about all kinds of health myths.

So just don’t focus on weight focus on overall health and what people need to succeed and if people are still fat let them be fat. They can decide for themselves.

  • “nice” is a meaningless term. Nazis are very often “nice” people on the surface.

What we want people to be is good and being actually good not just pleasent to be around takes work, it means to not react to your base instincts, it means introspection, it means weighing your wants and needs against the needs of others, it means sacrafice.

Its very easy to say immigrants are solely responsible for their situation so they should deal with it themselves. It is much more complicated to learn about the realities and nuances of their lived reality.

For an example if you have an aggressive dog you can either just shoot it or you take on the responsibillity of training it which means you have to learn about training, invest time and energy to do so and put yourself at risk while doing so and at the end the dog might still bite you.

Raising people to be good takes much more energy and willpower than speaking to their base instincts.

  • Voterparticipation was 64% So more like 30%.

People can be hateful AND other things. They aren’t raging monsters but for one reason or another when making one of the most important desicions they let themselves be guided by hate, doesn’t mean they don’t love their dog or hug their kids.

You slso don’t need to put all the blame on them, propaganda is a powerful tool, they might very well have turned out fairly decent without it. They aren’t born like that but it doesn’t change what they have become.

  • I think it goes deeper than that. We have a problem with hierachical thinking in general. We expect our kids to follow their leaders, without question, there is little room for kids to participate in society in a meaningful way. There is no way for them to change anything.

Than they get to an abitrary age and we expect them to suddenly transition to involved voters.

I don’t believe that people raised to question why a system works how it works, who were allowed to argue , whos curiousity got rewarded, who simply had a real voice in their upbringing, would have fallen for him.

They would have learned that things are more complicated and they would trust themselves more to be able to change society than they would trust authority to fix things for them.
