Billionaires will keep doing whatever they want as long as they never face consequences. Seems like the people are going to have to take inflicting consequences into our own hands.

Yet no consequences for Americans implicated in the Epstein files.

It’s a pilot program now, but corporations commonly change policy and widely implement things as auto opt-in. My statement stands.

This better not be an auto opt in scenario. This has the potential to fuck a lot of people out of money. This feature is stupid and shouldn’t be forced on anyone.

What do you expect from people who follow a 2,000+ year old book written by people we’d consider insane if we tried to speak with them today. It offers zero proof of its god and no one to this day has been able to bring any evidence. The bible’s been rewritten over a dozen times under the influence of kings with their own agendas. Yet somehow this work of fiction (by all applicable standards it should be) is what these people form their lives around. They magically always find a way to interpret its passages to support their own biases. Regardless of the amazing ideas philosophy and science have brought to humanity, they keep retreating to the magical thinking of the past. Of course they hate progress like women having power in their little club.

Do these people not think how face scans of a historically marginalized group could be used by bad actors? Especially when project 2025 explicitly targets LGBTQ+ people and the rise of Christian nationalism. You don’t have to dig far in the right wing discourse to find calls for direct persecution of LGBTQ+ people. This is just dense and naive.

The Trump regime is so fucking hateful. Seriously evil people. Their cruelty is not emphasized enough.

“While Israel was dropping white phosphorus on people in Lebanon, The New York Times called it a munition that “can be extremely harmful.” White phosphorus burns through skin to the bone. They called it “harmful.” Like cholesterol. Like skipping the gym.
This is the same paper that spent two months interviewing women who dated Graham Platner, hunting for something disqualifying. White phosphorus on civilians gets “can be extremely harmful.” Graham’s private life gets a microscope.”

“Is Graham Platner Fit to Be a US Senator?”

You mean people aren’t clamoring to be part of one of the least classy social events to be thrown at the White House?

Definition of a Bubble. These AI huckster keep stringing investors on though. Sadly, I think these public IPOs coming up for Space X, OpenAI, and Anthropic will fall short of expectation and trigger the bubble popping.

This is cognitive decline. He can’t cognate well enough to respond coherently so he lashes out with anger. If you’ve ever taken care of relative with dementia is any stage, you see this often in various ways. It’s scary having a man in this state of cognitive decline in a position with so much unchecked power.

Use LibreWolf instead. Fuck Brave.

Make lobbying, PACs, and all the other financial ways outside governments and corporations influence politics with money illegal. Till the gravy train is cut, Washington will always be awash with grifters looking to get rich at any cost. No meaningful change will hold as long as influence peddling is legal.

I guess I phrased that wrong. I meant efficient coding as in coded to not be as processor intensive or bloated. Efficient models as you state. Thank you for pointing that out.

The CEOs of these companies boast constantly about these technologies replacing workers. Those same rich fucks support active efforts to cut social safety nets to increase their own tax cuts. So people don’t trust them or the future they are building and don’t want to support it. This, on top of the myriad other negative impacts of data centers - what exactly is in it for us?
The U.S. AI roll out is reckless and sloppy - prioritizing speed of development. Meanwhile China is focusing on efficient coding and development based on practical use and spending a fraction of the cost. American is creating an AI bubble unlike any bubble our economy has ever dealt with sitting on top of the greatest government debt in history. When it pops, the government will be too leveraged to bail us out. The rich will jump ship to their tax havens and the people will be saddled with multi-generational austerity. This is the end of a long road of corrupt business interests and billionaires strip mining the wealth of the USA.
Fuck capitalism.

For real. This dipshit and Dr. Phil, the ICE agent wanna be, for starters.
I not only read the article, I read other publications on the subject. Visa gave ChatGPT access to the core security and transaction infrastructure of VisaNet itself. They say “the integration is designed with a layered, security-first approach where the AI agent never sees or stores a user’s raw credit card number.” I am very weary of this integration level because AI agent security is shit. Visa or any CC company could opt in all accounts to the program by default in their backend so anyone who links their Chat GPT account can seamlessly activate the features. What is stopping bad actors from opening Chat GPT accounts, stating to the AI agent they are me from one of a million data breaches, and tricking the AI agent to activating the Chat GPT credit integration for their Chat GPT account? Sure, they don’t get the credit card number but it’s still charging me. Scammers are already tricking AI agents to take over accounts from many other sites. I am not happy about the sloppy security protocols implemented by rushed AI integration and the way Visa is integrating this feature so deeply has me concerned - especially with so many companies doing auto opt-ins. The feature idea doesn’t seem awful if people want to use it. I just don’t want the ability to charge my credit card exposed to Chat GPT and from what I read I’m not convinced it isn’t. These companies are rolling out AI features too quickly to appease share holders itchy for returns and they aren’t being careful enough with security guard rails. I don’t want to spend my free time fighting charges I didn’t make.
